N Ireland mural

  2. if you click on it, it will enlarge. You can read the words that way. The murals tell the story of specific angle of the civil war in Ireland/N. Ireland known as the troubles. But they are interesting because they seem to tell the same old storis of som many "troubling" times. "Oppression breed resistance, resistance brings freedom." wow. and look at the picture. That is a mural from the Catholic side. The one above is from the protestant side. It depicts their army as they feel they are being savagely attacked by the IRA (at that time). These murals are commonly reffered to as the "peace murals" and are found in the closed communities (divided my what has to be a 100 foot wall and quarter mile no mans land) of each side.
